I don’t even like McDonald’s, but the fast food pickin’s in Newcastle are unbountiful... That’s a word, right? And yes, ketchup only because I am 12.

My fries are hollow and these beef- ish patties are maybe 1/8" thick. I paid $ 6.18 for two McDoubles and a small fry. Goodness gracious...

McD’ s is stupid expensive. Might have something to do with the average worker’s pay increasing significantly . funny how that works. my Local McD’s starts at 9.50 now. in the 3 years i worked at McD’s the most I ever made was 8.25. of coarse that was 8 years ago.

I’ve only eaten Jack a couple of times. People spoke highly of it, so when I moved somewhere that had it I gave it a shot. It was terrible, so I gave it another shot. It was also terrible.

I have never tried the B aconator (Chrome wants to correct that to “contaminator”) ... it’s one of those things that looks delicious but I can never actually bring myself to order.

I would take my chances at a pub in Newcastle over almost any of the authentic BS sold in the states. Fresh frozen, additive laden, science food with artificial flavoring. Someday these facts will be appreciated. There are plenty of parts of animals and preparations that don’t sound appetizing but at least they have naturally occurring organic matter in them

Spring for the quarter pounder with fresh beef if it’s available. The bun sucks, the cheese sucks, the veggies suck but the actual burger isn’t bad. The decency of the meat in the new fresh hamburgers actually highlights the badness of the other stuff more.

If I’m hungry, don’t care about food quality that much, and only want to pay about $5, I’ll go grab something from the dollar menu, a medium fry no salt, and however much soda I feel like drinking at the time (since all sodas are the same price now.)

Cheap, effective lunch if I can’t be bothered.

I have a love hate with ketchup. I definitely use it on burgers and fries sometimes but I would rather have a different condiment most of the time. I’d rather have mayonnaise with fries and mustard with my burgers.

I’ve eaten it, and it was okay for a large cheap patty-and-cheese fast food burger, but it wasn’t anything special aside from its size.

I got chastised by a snotty young boy for using my laptop at that location several years ago. Popped in to use their wifi and get a mcmuffin early Sunday morning - family comes in and the kids gets it in his head people aren’t supposed to use laptops in McDonalds and comes over and tells me I need to turn it off. I explain to him in a nice and understanding manner that McDonalds offers free wifi just for folks like me and he  stomps off to his family. He comes back 5 minutes later and tells me again that he told his mother what I said and I need to turn it off. I told him I would love to talk to his mother about it further, just have her come over - and that shut them down...  Admittedly I hadn’t shaved and was looking somewhat scruffy but come on...

There are a lot of assholes everywhere between Kirkland and Newcastle. I was at [a place] with a customer who was running late in deep Redmond the other day. He’s never been there before and couldn’t find out where to park, so he does so against the building, with his modest car. The three lady designers in the room over from me all start harping. “Oh my God, what does he think he’s doing.” “This isn’t like [GUFFAW] a drive-thru or something.” “Yeah, seriously.” Those cows were also catty because they knew he was there for me, and not them. So he MUST be beneath them! My coworkers have also had anti-positive experiences with them.

Some of our installers once stopped in at the Starbucks at Green Lake — real “locals only” vibe on that strip — and they couldn’t even get service, said they got dirty glares from the patrons, and were treated like crap by the staff. Guess the ungroomed-laborer look was a dead giveaway that they didn’t deserve to be treated like human beings.
